Can my pet fly on the same flight as me?
Often, yes: in the cabin next to you or in the hold of the same flight. It depends on your pet’s weight and breed and the airline’s rules. Some airlines accept large dogs and short-nosed breeds only as cargo, in which case your pet flies separately. We’ll discuss the options for your route during a free consultation
Can my pet travel in the summer heat?
In the summer many airlines restrict travel in the hold and as cargo, especially for short-nosed breeds. We try to choose night and morning flights with short layovers. If the route could be hard on your pet at that time of year, we’ll discuss it in advance and suggest alternatives
Do you transport older or short-nosed (brachycephalic) pets?
Yes, but these trips need more careful preparation. We choose an airline that accepts the breed and a carrier that meets its rules. It’s best to discuss your pet’s health with a vet beforehand: if flying could be risky, we’ll tell you honestly and decide together what to do
How will I get updates about my pet during the trip?
We agree in advance on how we’ll keep in touch. If we handle the transport, this usually means photos before the flight, messages about take-off and landing, and flight tracking. What’s included depends on your package, and you can message your manager with any question
Will my pet need quarantine, and for how long?
It depends on the destination. For many countries, including the UAE, Russia and most of Europe, quarantine is usually not required if all documents are in order. Some countries, such as Australia, require it, and the country sets the length. We’ll check the requirements for your route during a free consultation
What if not all documents are ready?
No problem: we’ll check what’s ready and make a plan for the rest, such as the microchip, vaccinations, tests and certificates. We’ll give you approximate timelines and the order of steps, and if the timing looks tight, we’ll tell you right away
How far in advance should I start preparing?
Usually from a few weeks if vaccinations are up to date to several months if the country requires a rabies antibody test. We also take urgent cases. It’s best to message us as soon as you have a flight date, and we’ll estimate the timeline for your route
What if the flight is delayed or cancelled?
It happens, so we agree on a plan for this in advance. If we are handling the transport, we contact the airline and find a solution: another flight, a new pick-up time, or updated certificates if needed. We keep you informed
What if my pet feels unwell during the trip?
Before the flight we recommend a vet check to make sure flying is safe for your pet. We never use sedatives without a vet’s prescription. During the trip your pet is looked after by airline staff or a pet courier if one is travelling with them. After arrival we can help you see a vet if needed
What is paid separately?
Usually airline pet fees, vet services, government fees and the travel carrier. We go through the cost breakdown before we start and put it in the contract. If extra costs come up along the way, for example because a flight is rescheduled, we agree on them with you first
